I have been teaching ESL in Korea for over 8 years. I've worked in private academies to public schools to even owning my own teaching business as both a private tutor and study room teacher.
I specialize in phonics and reading comprehension for elementary students. As well as building up their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills - the 4 critical skills of learning any language.
Additionally, I have worked with adult students strengthening their conversational skills. Teaching them idioms, slang, and use of natural real English in an everyday setting. I've worked with doctors, government officers, coffee baristas, stay at home moms, entrepreneurs, and just about every person from all walks of life.
My teaching philosophy is based on "real English". Not test scores. English is a language and therefore should be learned to communicate.
