Experience |
In Korea I've taught classes to doctors at University hospital in Busan, taught classes at Foreign University in Busan, taught private classes for 5 years, taught as a service to community library in Gimhae area, taught elementary group at community center, taught online, created a curriculum for international students available online, worked with New York's top pronunciation and accent coaches from Columbia University and New York Broadway performer and Hollywood voice talent. In Brazil I taught English to a group of professionals from various professions, in a community center, while I was learning Portuguese. While serving in the military for nearly 20 years I applied for a linguistics career and tested high in the Chinese language acquisition potential test, and was accepted for the position and only turned down because of a technicality. And instead got a position in a job that required a high IQ and dealt with communications. Interesting side note, while in the military I served in Korea for 3 years in an office with Korean KATUSA soldiers, and Korean civilian contractors; very rewarding experience.
