I am looking to spend my gap year before matriculating to Wellesley College teaching English in South Korea because I would like to learn more about Korean culture and explore career paths in education. Though I can speak Korean fluently and am Korean in ethnicity, I was born and raised in the United States where I have been disconnected from this aspect of my identity. I would like to live in Korea to learn more about Korean culture, history, and people. Also, since high school, I have become passionate about teaching and would like to gain more experience in the field of education.
